The Sun Comes Out Only at Night

Well the Sun Tiger Anyway… or at 2 o clock every Monday when she know it is feeding time.

This is the my lovely Esmeralda She is a Venezuelan Sun Tiger Tarantula spec Psalmopoeus irminia

The lovely lady is an arboreal species of tarantula and she makes the best webs of all my spiders. These webs are amazing works of art. One of the many cool things that separate tarantulas from most other spiders is their multiple spinnerets on there feet along with the spinets on their abdomen. A spinneret is what spiders use to weave webs. Unlike other spiders like web weavers they use this for moment which means a tarantula can climb any surface like glass any cling at any angle. This means they can crawl up your wall and ceiling no problem. Tarantulas also make 7 different kinds of silk and it is neat to see all their uses, such as the top of her web hut is completely water proof. You could pour water on it all day and not a drop will get in. They also make little mats and sometimes bury them they can detect the slightest movement on these. Also tarantulas may look big and slow but they are not they can run fast!! Lady Esmeralda’s speed is comparable to letting the north wind out of a box. Haha I am rambling again.

Umm enjoy

Beautiful spider, I just got mine, a sub adult Grammostola Concepcion two weeks ago and alls good so far, feeding well and very well house kept, she or he dumps their waste by the water bowl for me to clear up, after it's next molt i'll post a few pics up. I like it a lot and definatly intend to get more :) I was wondering how aggressive the sun tiger is? and do you have any bother in general with the more aggressive species?
